Golden Peacock National Training Award 2008

ESCI  has been conferred the prestigious and internationally recognized Golden Peacock National Training Award for the year 2008 by Institute of Directors.The Award was  presented during  the 9th International  Conference on Corporate Governance  held at Royal  Overseas League, Park Place, London on September 19th 2008. 

The award was presented by Mr. Ola Ullsten, Former Prime Minister of Sweden.Ms. Baroness Flather, Member House of Lords, Dr Madhav Mehra,  President,  World Council for Corporate Governance,  Lt. Gen J S Ahluwalia, Vice President  and CEO  of Institute of Directors, Sri C B Bhave, IAS Chairman, SEBI graced the dias.

The Golden Peacock Awards, recognised as the holy grail of corporate excellence, was a self-assessment tool aimed to accelerate an organisation's improvement process.

It added that the winners were selected through an elaborate multilevel and transparent assessment process. Ola Ullsten, former Prime Minister of Sweden, chaired the global award jury.

Members of the jury included P N Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India, Ruud Lubbers, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands and Olivier Giscard d'Estaing, founder Chairman of INSEAD.

The first level assessment was carried out by a panel of international assessors under the guidance of Pradeep Chaturvedi, the chief examiner.
