INTRODUCTION   & OBJECTIVES

Day by day, Linux use is increasing exponentially in every sector of our society, let it be Web Applications, eSecurity, Embedded Systems, High Performance Computing or High End Application Development. We also see a wide acceptance of Linux reflected from the deployments in government, industry and academics in India.

This course introduces you to the administration of a Linux systems. Topics include Linux Installation and Architecture, User/Group management, Network Management, Webserver Configuration, Security configuration and also Backup and Restoration. This course is designed with an objective of creating an ideal grounding for you if you're going to be looking after a Linux server on your network. It is also useful for people who plan to use Linux in future and also for those who already use Linux for their daily activities in their home and organizations. This course covers the administration necessary to look after a web server within an existing network and also cover general Linux administration in great depth.

The Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) has therefore considered it very timely to conduct a Training Programme on “Advances in Linux Administration”.

FEE

This is a residential programme.  Fee is Rs. 12, 000/- (Rupees Twelve thousand only) per participant. 10% discount will be given for a group of 3 or more participants registering for the programme. 10% additional discount will also be given for the payments received (non refundable) 15 days in advance. 10% discount for participants not availing ESCI accommodation facilities.

The residential fee covers twin sharing Air-conditioned accommodation, teaching material, use of library, tea, snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner and transport connected with the programme.

TIMINGS

Registration at 9.00 a.m. on the first day. On all other days the sessions will be from 9.45 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. with breaks in between for lunch, tea and refreshments.
